Google webpage cache option no longer available in search results

Google not showing your webpage’s cache anymore? Here’s what to do.

If you often check to see when Google last crawled a certain page of your (or someone else’s) website, you probably do a relevant search to make your site show up in search results, then click on the 3 little dots next to your site in search results. you then choose the cache option… easy peasy.

But, it’s becoming more common to NOT see the cache option in the panel that pops up – as in the image below.

This can be frustrating, especially if you want to keep your finger on the pulse of your SEO efforts and the tweaks you’ve made to a page. If this is the case, simply do it manually by using the URL below. Obviously, make sure you change “https://example.com/my-page” to the actual page you want to see the results for.

https://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:https://example.com/my-page

Boom! job done
